I realize that we live in a complex and complicated world, and our time is limited. Often just the demands of the day take up every available hour and starting some online program may seem like one more thing to add to an already full 'to-do' list and then feel guilty about when it isn't completed. The goal of "Learning to Live Well," is to take us out of that cycle of busy-ness and to-do lists and guilt, and help us practice what I call 'active mindfulness.' Not just being present to the moment, but being aware that we are present to the moment. This new program will not involve a lot of extra time and effort -- rather, it will allure us into experiencing the every day moments of life with deeper awareness. The activities for each month of the year will be enticing enough that we will want to do them, rather than feeling we 'should' do them. The topic for September -- "Detaching from Drama" will offer a meditation that can be used throughout the month, a podcast with specific tips on how to deal with drama, and a surprising activity to help reclaim spiritual peace after dealing with drama. So, let's get ready for September!
